Tamarind is an exceptionally comfortable, attractive, and unique 3 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath home located on the top of the south hill overlooking Cruz Bay Harbor. The hilltop setting provides picturesque views of sailboats at anchor in the turquoise waters of Cruz Bay, flaming sunsets over the Caribbean, and the distant twinkling lights of St. Thomas at night. This home provides easy walking access to the restaurants, boutiques, taxis and scuba dive operators of Cruz Bay, while also being 200 yards from swimming and snorkeling at Frank Bay Beach. Despite its easy access to Cruz Bay Tamarind is located in a private, beautifully landscaped, charming setting that affords scenic 220 degree views. The house itself is a very handsome traditional Caribbean design with cathedral ceilings, ceiling fans, screened sliding glass doors, an oversized swimming pool and sundeck and lush tropical planters and gardens. The entire interior is accessorized with lovely tropical furnishings and colors that were thoughtfully selected and coordinated by a noted interior designer.

LIVING/DINING/KITCHEN. The Great Room, with its 900 sq./ft of interior space works wonderfully for a family of 6. The living room has McGuire Honey Wicker white cushioned furniture, including 3 couches, a daybed, 3 club chairs, 2 ottomans and 3 side chairs. A 30" color cable TV, VCR and stereo with cassette provide the entertainment. The lanai (outdoor living/dining area) provides another comfortable lounging and dining area with McGuire oiled teak chairs with white cushions and a formal teak dining table that seats 10. Breakfast or lunch may also be enjoyed on the sundeck, pool deck or at the kitchenware. The 900 sq. ft. sundeck and the huge pool deck are equipped with McGuire lounges, tables and chairs and are surrounded by luxuriant tropical gardens. The all white kitchen was completely remodeled and updated in 1993 and provides a bright, crisp very modern and functional work area whose General Electric equipment includes a refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, built-in microwave, coffeemaker, blender and a complete assortment of cookware, serving utensils and dinnerware. A washer/dryer is located off the kitchen as in a half bath.

BEDROOMS. The 3 bedrooms and their accompanying 3 bathrooms are located on the lower level adjacent to the pool deck. The master has a king bed and is decorated in flowing whites that create a lovely honeymoon setting while the 2 guest bedrooms each have 2 twin beds. The master bath is done in a European flavor with a sunken tub and open shower, while the guest baths are tiled.
